Restaurant Review: Asian Thai
Asian Thai opened on Wednesday, February 24th and we decided to go on Thursday for "date night." We knew we were going to a new place on its second day of operation and were expecting some new place snafus. We were pleasantly surprised to find that they were discounting people's bills on the opening two days by half off!
We ordered chicken satay, a couple spring rolls and two orders of pad thai (one chicken, one beef). Surprisingly, we didn't wait too long for our stuff considering it was the second day they were open.
The chicken satay was fantastic. The peanut sauce had a little sweetness and some good spice. The spring rolls were fantastic too. They brought out a little IHOP-style carrier of three sauces to compliment the appetizers too. The pad thai was pretty good. Not the best I've ever had, but it seemed to exhibit more flavor the further you dig into it. Would definitely get it again. The staff was courteous, attentive and friendly, and the atmosphere looks all brand new and really interesting. Looks like they invested in redoing the interior. Couldn't help but glance over at other people's entrees too and it all looked so good!
I love that the menu includes both thai and chinese dishes. It's a big menu and plenty of choices are available. They also do take out. Prices are a bit higher than most (lunch tends to be $8+ and entrees are in the $11+ range, but it tasted well worth the price. We would go again in a heartbeat.
