My random thoughts, as posted on my Twitter account:

July 30, 2010

  • 3:41 pm - You know it's time for an editing software upgrade when it takes 4 hours to render a 5 minute video.
  • 12:47 pm - Tip: Before photographing a life-changing event for someone, make sure your battery is fully-charged.
  • 11:06 am - Can J.Lo's American Idol gig really be called her "return to TV" when her only TV credit is as a fly girl on "In Living Color"?
  • 7:55 am - I think I'm happier being a "have-not" than being a "have" with an irrational, raging, spitting disdain for the "have-nots."

July 29, 2010

  • 4:21 pm - Dave Coulier's on WAPL right now talking Canadian rock. Might be the first and last time The Tragically Hip is ever mentioned on WAPL.
  • 4:08 pm - Dave Coulier is here this afternoon. I had a feeling this morning I'd regret leaving the house without my Full House DVD set and a Sharpie.
  • 1:35 pm - YouTube just upped its video time limit to 15 minutes. I can finally do my tribute cover of The Doors' "Celebration of the Lizard."
  • 9:01 am - Anyone know if you can cancel a cell phone contract w/o termination fees if a provider starts pro-rating ETF after you sign your contract?

July 28, 2010

  • 11:15 am - Spending my morning doing Drupal core and module updates to a work website. Don't be so jealous.

July 27, 2010

  • 10:22 pm - How come the children you actually see at Olive Garden are never as well-mannered and heart-warming as the children their TV ads?
  • 10:09 pm - FOX 11 is displaying a severe weather map. Watch counties marked in yellow. Warning counties? Slightly darker yellow. #wx-fail

July 26, 2010

  • 2:28 pm - Food Network really needs to be on Hulu, iTunes and/or Amazon VOD. Seriously. Damn it all. #cablewithdrawal
  • 2:19 pm - That old chestnut really is true: You can never find a turn signal switch for a 2003 Pontiac Grand Prix when you really need one.
  • 12:20 pm - My life or death decision today: Ride out this headache, or chance the half-empty bottle of aspirin in my desk with the 2005 expiration date

July 25, 2010

  • 8:03 pm - Trying my hardest to resist the urge to correct my kitten's recent obsession with our kitchen sink using the sprayer on high.
  • 10:18 am - Finishing up rebuilding my Windows Media Center. Forgot how much I loved WMC compared to every other DVR I've ever used.

July 23, 2010

  • 5:29 pm - I love Tuffy Auto, but I'm perturbed that I dropped my car there at 8:30 and nine hours later, they haven't even finished my estimate!
  • 10:28 am - Been seeing a lot of $199 netbook sales recently, and am finding it difficult to keep myself from heading to the bank with my savings bonds.
  • 9:12 am - Going to be hearing *a lot* of myself on the radio today, after recording ads relating to storm damage yesterday.

July 22, 2010

  • 4:53 pm - B.S. phrase I'm getting really sick of hearing these days: "I'm not racist, but... [insert racist screed here]."
  • 11:12 am - If you have a solar panel, you can sell power back to the power company. Can I sell all the water in my yard back to the water utility?

July 21, 2010

  • 2:30 pm - Every time I see a Droid X, it makes my Blackberry Curve look like the Commodore 64 of smartphones. And not in a good nostaglic way.
  • 10:19 am - Working out of the Green Bay office this morning. Wish I could do that every day. Going to Bangkok Garden for lunch in a bit...

July 20, 2010

  • 4:08 pm - Doing a meeting in our Green Bay office tomorrow AM. Hoping to use that as an excuse to do the lunch buffet at Bangkok Garden. :)
  • 3:46 pm - Looking to launch my latest web project this week, and move on to the next one. Anyone have a good GoDaddy coupon for .COM registrations?

Away We Go
A great all-star cast. An incredible soundtrack and score by Alexi Murdoch. Funny, sweet and touching script. A very fulfilling journey.

Where The Wild Things Are
While it's pretty dark for a kids movie, it's an incredibly well-done, engaging and poignant movie that celebrates the magic of childhood.
